About Us

I began doing business as a home inspector more than 25 years ago. I have done more than 8,000 home inspections to date. I am a certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors. This is a membership that must be earned. I must receive twenty hours of continuing education per year to remain certified. ASHI.org member verification There are other "pretender" organizations that can be joined by simply logging on to the internet. The ASHI logo is the most recognized credential in the home inspection industry on the entire North American continent.

Clients, both buyers and sellers, can get a quality home inspection, a radon test and a wood destroying insect (termite) inspection all with one phone call.

The vast majority of home inspectors may not possess the skills, training and experience that can be expected from an ASHI Inspector.

There are many inspectors who claim "My inspections are conducted to ASHI Standards". Using an inspector who claims to meet ASHI standards is not the same as using an ASHI Inspector who has been tested. Beware of "inspectors" citing credentials they do not have.

Professional Realtors have referred ASHI Inspectors for many years. Contracts frequently specify ASHI by name. Remember, what you don't know can hurt you. Addressing defects up front helps eliminate potential problems later.

Home Buyers need the peace of mind that an ASHI Inspector's report can provide.

Home Sellers are increasingly having their homes pre-inspected to prepare them for sale. A pre-listing inspection will significantly help increase buyer confidence and facilitate a sale.

The purpose of our inspection is to inform and educate the client about significant defects and concerns. The report provides a general evaluation of existing conditions. We may also suggest future maintenance procedures. The general inspection is a visual examination of the home and major components including but not limited to foundation, roofing, heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, visible structural elements, walls, floors, ceilings, doors and windows all in a written report.

Remember, you can get a home inspection from anybody, but you deserve the Best Building Inspection experience. I speak house. Hire the most experienced inspector in the Ohio Valley.
